Hi Fons, distortion is minimal it's a really great lens. I like the versatility of the 14-24mm and would feel limited by a prime. I'm not sure though if I'll find enough usage for an ultra-wide to warrant a purchase.

Beautiful clear today at -35°C while walking dogs, sun hardly gets above horizon near noon creating the nicest warm light (Pixel 3 phone).

The house next door in late afternoon light.  Retrieving the trash container after the pickup at the end of the day, I noticed how the light was softly illuminating a neighbor's house.  Luckily I had my D700 with 50/1.4 AI Nikkor nearby.  Run through Silver Efex Pro 3 with Ilford PanF film simulation and further processed in Lightroom.
