Very nice light, but I do not think there have been any comets visible these days that have been bright enough to overcome that amount of background light. Perhaps a short contrail from a jet?

Agreed, Ian, very nice light and colors in the sky, the artificial light and the reflections on the water.

Meanwhile the winter darkness has descended upon us in my part of the world. Snow is not plentiful yet but according to the weather forecast we'll see plenty of it later today. In the early morning, there is almost no light necessitating high ISO to get anything useful captured. I'm grounded for the time being due to low ambient temperatures (in the -15 to -20C range) and a bad combination of cold-induced asthma and arthritis. Not recommendable. Not at all.

Kitchen view with the Z fc and the weird AF 80mm f/2.8 Nikkor.  This lens is sharp and despite its not very sophisticated optics, low in chromatic aberrations, and among the star options for IR. Handling is slow due to the AF mechanism which is not properly decoupled in manual focusing mode, however.

Landscape at Den Treek, Leusden. I hate winter but this morning I dragged myself out of bed into the cold to shoot this image.
