Actually, my Galaxy phone :)

Been 'under the weather' as it were of late, thus not much in terms of active photography. Hopefully the situation improves.

There is no trick with the bw conversion. It starts with one of my usual presets and then some (very) little tweaking. What you see here is the combination of the street in shadow and her in the light.

I just got this framed picture from the shop. It is the wonderful image of Japanese Maikos by my friend Dave Paterson, who kindly gave me the image as a gift when we met in Kilin earlier this year. Now the picture stands in its protective wrapping while I await Ruth's return from her present project lecture trip, so we can decide the best spot for it. Thank you, thank you, Dave.
