I envy him to get slim successfully during this long quarantine period.   ::)

Thank you Colin. Most of those are also meant for the performer and I will pass them along.

Interesting proposition. I seldom crop my images but in this specific time, I went back and forth with your proposed crop on my own. I think I didn't crop it more out of habit than esthetics.

  Thank you for your input!
Paco, glad you appreciate my suggestion. And nothing wrong with good habits ;)

Colin, visually very pleasing, craquelure run amok I'd say.

light magic. wow

Thanks Frank for your comment. This maple changes color by time of day and season. I continually return to it to see what it has to offer.

True spring still is a feature of the future it seems. However, being a Nordic citizen, patience is a useful trait.

Vivek Iyer kindly informed me the NEX-5N Monochrome had a "sweep panorama" mode. Despite the depressing and inclement weather I just had to try from my porch and voila! this works. Now I can have pencil photos, not only pencil skirts :)

Shot with the Voigtländer 15mm f/4.5 lens on the NEX.

it is not so much the subject but the light and the composition and the rendering

As I see it, the subject is the light, the composition and the rendering. It’s just this tree provides a good setting for all three.
