2500 euros, some pictures on fm, someone compared it to the 58mm/ f/1.4 similar type bokeh but much sharper.

Richard Haw has a review also ;)

after contemplating over a cup of coffee and a stick of marlboro...
i think i will spend the money on a 5cm f/1.1 instead :o :o :o
or the 8.5cm f/1.5 ::)

thats because there will be a rebate soon :o :o :o

they cost 247,000 here...
to be frank, for a lens of that caliber i think it is reasonable for nikon to ask that price. ::)

i am looking at my NOCT photos now. this lens has smoother bokeh than the NOCT

If Nikon's claim for the 50/1.2S of having a flat plane, count me impressed.  That will put it onto my list!

Seems a very capable lens, on this review to my eyes on f1.2 a tad better than the 50 1.8S on f 1.8 great job Nikon!

Very interesting to see, I disagree with Ricci here; Wide open the f/1.8 in the first shot is sharper than the f/1.2 in the center - clearly, even watching it in the video.

Thank you, Frank, but pics are too small to be judged by their 100% crop. So would you please make and post 100% crop from the sharpest image that is wide open? Danke!  LZ

Yes, I will. Trouble is to get the focus to the point you want it.

100% crops in the making

In my opinion the defintion I see at f/1.2 is mind bobbeling!
