I veered off tangentially from the ever-present chores to do a quick UVIVF (ultraviolet induced visible-light fluorescence) photomacropgraph of the pollen of a Malva moschata. Turned out the stamens and anthers withered so quickly that my attempt of doing a focus stacking at 5X was thwarted. I could only use a narrow sliver of the intended stack leading to an image with a cacophony of chaotic colours and partly sharp detail. I submit it respectfully, nonetheless.

Z7, Laowa 25mm f/2.8 at f/2.8, 5X, UV 365nm LED light ('NEMO'). The resemblance of the pollen  grains to particles of Covid-19 virus is fortuitous.
Wow, fantastic image I like it a lot!

Before chucking out the sad remains of the Malva moschata flowers, I did a last attempt to make the UVIF record of its coronavirus-alike pollen grains.

This time with a Convoy UV LED torch, Mitutoyo 20x/0.42 objective and the Z7. The stack length was 151 frames, yet due to the irregular 3-D distribution of the anthers I couldn't make the stack as deep as I had wished. Oh well. I'll find something else to do. Further Malva is out.

My impression is that the damaged pollen grains are those showing the highest degree of fluorescence. Don't ask me why -- I'm just the photographer here.
