In the center and upper left of your shot, there are purple (or shaded magenta?) out-of-focus areas that strongly play as complementary colors to the predominant green of the shot.

My thanks to the many who recommended the 105/2.5 (and among them, to Björn who made me buy an AI version after I got the AIS), and to Fons who suggested the 50/2 AI. For some unclear reason, I like it a lot. Maybe it's the "haptics".
