At the time, I saw many reviews telling pictures from D700 and D300 that were supposed to be comparable in term of how they look. Did any one notice the same?

BTW, I passed a $300 deal for a mint D700 a few weeks ago and I feel like a dumb now ;)

Cheers,
Zang

I know of a nice D3 going for a reasonable price, not too far from you ;D

The D700 I saw had 4000 actuations, I believe. People did not buy D3 for curious cabinet displaying, I assume ;) Those D3 I saw had 150K actuation in average :)

The D3 that I have for sale has only 9086 actuations. I am close enough to deliver it.

You want a D3. <Waves hand and hopes fervently that his Jedi mind powers finally manifest>

Oh, I see. That sounds like a cool deal! However, I have changed my plan a bit and I am so tempted to get a new Z6/Z5 (only one of those, of course). May not be right for Christmas (still putting on saving :) ) but maybe early next year.

Thanks anyway :)

But if you have D700 for $300 then for sure, let me know ;) D700 will not set me back as much as D3 :)

theres something about the way it renders photos :o :o :o

very film-like!

I agree about the D700. For that "film like" my guess is you haven't spent time with one of the old 13.5mp, Kodaks. I wish Nikon had similar imagery and the ability to index lenses like the Kodak.

Another lovely portrait.

And as Zang says - the D3s + the 85mm + the operator have all delivered - as did the cat!  ;D
