My friend's cat is rather 'protective'.  He attacks 'easily'...   ;)

This giant leopard moth was having a rest on the back of my house.

Nikon D4, Micro-Nikkor 55mm f/3.5 (Yes, I needed something longer but this was all that I had.)

The tiniest flower of them all. Fat Duckweed Lemna gibba, 28X magnification. Macro-Nikkor 19mm f/2.8, Z7. My Multiphot bellow maxes out at 30X, meaning almost 60 cm of bellows draw. This would be impossible without the Multiphot setup.

Birna, I'm fascinated by all of your Duckweed series
Each one seems more magical than the previous one and the latest one is a jewel.

Watching the sunset. A group of youngsters have chosen this spot to pass their evenings. Not a bad choice...

Thanks, Colin & Paco. Appreciated. This kind of photography is, frankly, more of a challenge than I really like, but being stubborn I soldier on. The restricted time window before the plants literally disappear (by drying out) is the biggest hurdle, though. The pure technical aspects are much easier to deal with.

Impressive.
Nice colors. Interesting to get a view into this small world. Normally just some green stuff on the water. :)

This is simply gorgeous!  The beauty of the nature in the micro world.
