I think it is "First love never dies." It was for me, I thought, with the OM-1, which I came to from a Pen F, and I can't remember the exact year, but I think 1975 was the year the Pen, lightly used, came to me, and I know that in summer 1977, when I arrived in what was then West Germany, it was with a recently purchased OM-1, with 50mm and 24mm lenses. But that love paled by the end of 1977, for I had been seduced by Nikon and its F2SB. I've been faithful to the brand ever since, and my Df now holds centre place in my heart. Earlier this year I was at a Germany days reunion in Canada and met the second owner of my OM-1, forty years after selling him the camera and lenses, and I couldn't help enquiring about the Olympus, and was relieved to learn that he had handed on the camera and its lenses, still in good condition, somewhere in the last forty years, to a young , enthusiastic photographer. Maybe it is "Old love never dies." Beautiful camera.
