Very nice picture Jacques. Where was it taken ?
On the island of Porquerolles, which, till the breaking of Covid, was my usual summer dwelling with my family.
Very small island on the french south coast (facing Hyères) that has the great advantage that the last ferry is at 7 p.m (and the first at 10 a.m.), meaning that only residents can stay the night (no campers). A small village, just two small hotels and mostly rooms or flats to rent.
It's also a natural park and a seed bank for southern vegetation (including fruit trees) ! You can forget about wi-fi (it exist but is so slow).
As for such secluded places, you can dine with an ex french président at the next table, or movie stars... But no bling-bling or press, nor people, wide eyed, taking pictures, everyone there understands the need for privacy and the important bubble of restful and peaceful time
