Ruth and I met this young mother and her child miles deep into our local forest. She was educating her child to relate to Nature the Norwegian way thus making a forest (or mountain) hike mandatory entertainment for a weekend. The small girl was utterly enthusiastic about the affair thus the training had had the desired effect :)

Testing the Angenieux B4 lens, the 15 (times) 8.3-125mm  f/1.7  which translates to 16.4-250 f/3.4 with the 'doubler'.  The image field is too small for FX  (B4 lenses are made for a 11mm  sensor), but very usuable in DX.

Of course the movie-capabilities are a much better than with stills.  Images are however better than anticipated. Love the colours and rendering.

Armando, that translucent car effect is really cool.
Nice image Frank. Knowing how precise you like your focus, you are in for a treat with the Z6, among other goodies :)

You keep me interested Fons. All your decisions here: colors, shapes, focal length, closeness, the various ways to split the frame with different ...everything. What a great catch and presentation. A very real but surreal corner of being :)

Thanks for the comments

I must agree here and am curious what you did, Armando.
used a led light  inside a carton box to soften the light
open the bonnet , spend some time lighting the engine
close the bonnet spend some time lighting the paint trying to emphasize the curves and trying to avoid reflections of the light

since the car is dark blue and there is little detail on the hood it needed about 2x the time than the engine
the detail of the engine was overwhelming the color of the hood

I set the fuji to 4 min exposure, played with ISO and aperture and the time I was directing the light to the car to get closer to what I wanted to accomplish
ended up taking a little longer than 1 hour with multiple attempts
Brought the image into camera raw played with highlights , clarity, dehaze, vibrance

much better than 1 hour seating on the coach watching tv :)
