Day two of the Lock Down.  Yesterday was voluntary stay at home from 0700 until 2100 but some time during the night/early morning it was decided to lock Goa down for an additional 3 days (to start).   I have just recovered from two broken ribs so looks as if, an already bad birding season, just got worse.  Also caught the wife off guard so she is digging through the freezer to see what she is cooking.  So looking for things to shoot around the house.  This was with Z6 , 300 2.8G vr handheld, 1/400, 2.8 iso 100.

I just heared India is going into total lock down for three weeks. A big outbreak in your country would mean the worst pandemic since the Spanish flu. Gosh. Nature is fighting back on us pretty hard.

I'm not an intellectual. I'm a blue collar worker.

No murder either. But I can tell a story about how a bone became a prototype for a knife became a tool became a work of creativity and craftmanship.
20th was last week. 24th is this week.

I can also tell a story of a creature that did not survive the last ice age, a tree that did and a bone that became a prototype around the same time. It all happened in Syberia, where I never was, so, not being an intellectual, I borrowed the intellectual property now 15000 years out of date.

Buddy , you ARE an intellectual AND a superb craftsman AND a great father and husband too ... and a wonderful photographer, a great friend!

March 25

Yet another frosty morning and more to come, which is a common pattern early spring and then the winter strikes again.

This Celandine is virtually indestructible it is like an uninvited guest that will never part, but a great cover early in the year. ;)

I continue exploring what I can extract from the Rodenstock TV-Heligon 50mm f/0.75, again with the Nikon Z50. This time, applying a basic "tilt/shift" approach. Which works, sort of, with tongue in cheek. The colour rendition of this monster chunk of glass is somewhat unpredictable. Nothing to blame on the lens as such,  as it never was designed to handle visible "white" light.

Yup Frank,  many are not handling it well.  My active 19 year old son an example  ;D .   I have been in more than a few lock downs/curfews in my life but normally for security.   Let me see, I have water, electricity, Air Conditioning, Netflix, books, nice house, food to eat, resources to meet all commitments.... then I think of the millions that do not know when they eat next, have no fresh water, live inside fixed boundaries permanently  (or at least foreseeable future).   So a glass at least half full  :) .

We will have to see how it turns out.  Maybe it is Nature's population control.   I will take the opportunity to try some of the features of my cameras which I never use and refine some setup menus ... ::)

Birna, love the roses  :) nd Buddy, very nice, image and thoughts.

Looks intriguing Nasos.

I'd love to see further updates, as your project progresses.
