The old 16mm f/3.5 fisheye-Nikkor has built-in color filters as you could not place filters in front of it. These days, filters for black and white are nearly obsolete as we can customize color filtration in post production (filtering at capture is still effective if faced with high dynamic range). The R60 gives a nice red tone to nearly monochromatic scenes.

Lovely, like an impressionistic painting.

Thanks, John!  Just goes to show what a smartphone can do. You just need to spot the image.

Jack, I have used that R60 in abundance. Not only did i use it in the 16/3.5 but i ended up buying the R60 gel to put on my  8mm fish-eye. Although, I mostly used it on for infrared images.
I still remember Erik's baobab tree from South Africa.
you have used it nicely :)

oh, gosh, carnial brings even me to my limits. I fasted on photography, done writing and business lately ... but then I pick her up where I left her and she lifts me up to new heights ... a bucket of shots and even I am impressed ... and I need a lot of time to decide what to show, too many are great ...

Yesterday I had an appointment at a Science Centre in Oslo and availed myself of the opportunity to have a look around the premises. I stumbled over this scene at a research lab and immediately had a "Big Bang theory" deja vu.

Nice day for the beach, Fons!
Birna: it is really intriguing to see people’s desks. In this case especially the electric wires from above.
Frank: wonderful portraits!

My photo for the day, also in the museum and shot with the iphone. It is probably me but at this angle the man in the painting seems to look through the wall and to the window on the left.
