Fons, what a great image to greet one at the start of a new day.

The af-p 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6E vr, well basically @f/5.6 lens, is a nice lightweight carry around and travel lens for the both fx and the z6. Has some fall-off through-out the aperture range in favour of center sharpness.

Thanks Hugh,

Feels great to have a D700 back (*had two of them in the past, and actually sold them because I was able to sell them at a very high price) .

Image quality is very good, colours. Noise is pretty good manageable, better than the D850 in my opinion. And the 'quality' of noise is better.  Because of the smaller files and larger pixel-size it works usually a lot better with all kind of lenses.  AF is still very good.  And the camera feels great in the hand. *(like the D800E and D850).

The ideal camera when 4.256 pixels are more than enough :)

Thanks John.

I have always felt that they took the best bits out of the D3 when they made the D700.  FWIW, I kept mine.  :)

I am sure they did.  Very wise you kept it :)

In the digital age, camera's are more tools like lenses to produce the results you want.
