I got my 85S in Den Haag, during the recent NG Photorace. They had it for a discounted price as well

Yes it is 100 euros off until 15th next week. The local dealer has one in stock, I resisted although I think it is an excellent lens, still enamoured with the 24-70/2.8S. They have a 24/1.8S in stock too, do you like that one?

For such a zoom yes

A feat to get this setup secure and stable

surprisingly easy, probably whoever designed the foot of the 200-500 tested it with a V1 , or perhaps with no weight hanging from the lens

It is much more work to stabilize the zoom with the D800 attached
