Something that I actually hadn't seen before, a duckweed (Lemna turionifera) with fruit. During the last couple of years I have examined thousands of those tiny duckweed fronds. Typically the entire floating frond is 1.5-3mm, and 5-6 times I observed and photographed flowering plants. Of course these species have the most efficient vegetative propagation imaginable, yet genetic recombination through sexual means might become useful in a changeable climate.Shot with Z7 and the Laowa 25mm f/2.8 Ultra-Macro lens at 5X magnification, some 20 frames stacked with Zerene. The frond is approx. 1.7mm on the major axis, to indicate what scale we are at.
A very nice cat, really looking cool

Birna's studio is getting pretty chaotic in the duckweed "season". Here is a make-shift setup for shooting duckweed flowers in UV. I reached 4.4X magnification using the UV-Nikkor 105mm f/4.5 combined with a reverse-mounted Noflexar 35mm f/3.5, which had to suffice.A snapshot of a corner with the AW1.
