My Arctic Norway trip is drawing to a close. Fitting thus to present the colourful Melancholy Thistle Cirsium helenoides which is abundantly present on damp grasslands and birch forests.

Nikon D700 + Nikkor 20mm f/2.8 ai-s. Shot @ f/11, iso 100, 15sec exposure. Multiple frames blended in PS in lighten mode.
