I reported earlier about the use of the Mitutoyo objectives on my various Nikon Multiphot units.
From today's shooting of
Elatine triandra Three-stamened Waterwort. A plant so small even the great Linnaeus himself didn't observe and describe it

Firstly an overview of the plant at
10.4X magnification. Thus the frame spans approx. 3.5mm (!). The opened flower is 1.2mm across, the rosy red buds about 0.6mm. The 100% crop shows part of the flower with a stamen dusted with pollen grains -- the anther is less than 0.1mm wise and the filament itself about 0.05mm. A human hair is approx. 0.15mm to indicate the scale at with we are operating ....
10X/0.28 Mitutoyo, Raynox DCR-150, Nikon D810, about 75 frames using Stackshot and Zerene Stacker. By the way, Zerene does not like these objects with reflective cell surfaces and partly hyaline details. Not at all.
