Took the faithful Df out of the mothball bag as this is the camera I plan to rely on for the upcoming NG Scotland meet-up. Apparently my love for the camera, albeit unabated, wasn't sufficient to give good photos. I need to put in some training exercises in the days ahead .... Rusty love.

This is a try at Gagea lutea (Yellow Star-of-Bethlehem). Df, 105mm f/4 Micro-Nikkor. I do need to improve my technique.

I know the feeling ! I have a mixed bunch of AF and MF lenses. When I'm lazy I use the AF ones, but when getting back to MF, there is a short but albeit real time to re-adapt !!! It's not so much about "slowing down", it's more about the constraints that I believe gets me more interesting pictures  :o

Oh well - I'm soldiering on with the Df -- need to engage that rust remover from my technique.

Trying again, this time with a Tussilago farfara. The flower head has entered the final, male stage of its development thus in a very short time now flowering is a memory of the past.

Df + 125/2.5 APO CV.

April 20

Summer is here, temperatures of 25 centigrade.

Df  50mm f/1.4

Df still in use here, smaller size and weight, accepts all mf lenses, smaller filesize, excellent iq.

You should try the 300/2 Nikkor - a boat anchor of a lens.
