John, I always wonder how you can make the older lenses with this latest  and the most unforgiving camea.

My findings with the D850, it tends to blow the blue channel.

That is not my experience.

I think the DX camera's are more unforgiving, like the D7200.  D850 improved a lot compared with the D800E  -  Focus screen -  Focus  - Auto Focus.  And all lenses that already worked on the D800/E  will mostly improve when using the D850.  That is my experience so far.

That sounds interesting.  Thank you for sharing your solid experience.

I maybe the happy exception, find myself desaturating the blue in skies frequently, i am using photoshop here.

Did you make a profile for the D850 with X-rite Color Checker?

Perhaps an exception yes. I sometimes do find the RAW's are more leaning towards the Red than with the D800E and D700

I do not see color preferences in my D850, only issue is chrominance noise kicking in early

that is very beautiful!

NPS has checked and cleared the PC-E 24 f/3.5 ,,, the 2/200VR screeching sound issue when using the VR / AF is not yet finally diagnosed. NPS guess one or two motors maybe worn or torn. I hope it will not be too expensive to fix....

Frank i wonder what you agreed with the seller, my private thought anyway.

If there is next to no processing involved at base iso blue chroma is not an issue.

That is not my experience.

Lloyd Chambers mentions that stopping down lenses on the D850 changes wb significantly.
