Sometimes it's best not to know too much of what an object is. Certainly expensive, as it was located in the front yard of a very posh office building.

Pretty in Pink (??)

looks expensive and brainy

Frank, thanks for showing us this image and the detail that you have extracted from it.

How many images have you combined here and what exposure separation between them did you choose?

My edit of the day, 19 years after I shone light on a piece of slide film I notice that there is a lot of information in that film I have never seen before. I further notice, that ACR12 is a great RAW converter for D850-NEFs!!!

this is only one picture shot in RAW. I guess the DR of the D850 is higher than the DR of the film. That means that I can extract details from the shadows and the highlights by

a. converting the NEF without losing shadows or highlights
b. Developing the 16 Bit Tiff result with a HDR plugin in Photoshop.

Example: The red jacket is black in the slide projection, but the D850 can see it as underexposed color...

Thank you Frank -  I have ~3,000 slides waiting to be digitised, so your comments are appreciated.

D850 prices have dropped here, so now is a good time to look into that one as well!  ;)

Frank, I love that photo!  Capturing the puppy shimmying the water off and the person shielding from it!
