Yup.  I'm pretty excited to have as much as three consecutive meet-ups in 2018: Airy from France, JJChan from Australia and this time Jack from the U.S.!

sounds wonderful!

We also had snow in the night, but it disappeared quickly and swift.

Frank, this is great.  The treatment is spot on, but the image itself is a fantastic capture!

Nice environmental closeup, John!  20/1.4?

Looks like Moholy-Nagy on the ground.  Nice find, Werner!

Oh, I missed the variating directions of the shadows cast from the bicygles and thought it was shot during the daytime!  That makes the image even more interesting and surreal!

Thanks Akira.  Yes. With the D850 as my Df is still in repair and waiting from parts coming from Japan I guess...

John, you really make the best of the 20/1.4.  A very purposeful choice!

Thanks Akira. Moholy-Nagy was also interested in photography. You might know his book "Malerei Fotografie Film" from 1927, where he starts with a comment, mentioning, that photography is already more than 100 years old and that "our seeing" has just achieved a level, that we realise, how photography is or can be used to form and shape. Also color photography started about then to get speed.

Thanks Akira. The lens is very convenient for a lot of applications I use, especially in combination with the D850 and the crop-possibility.
