Its a fine streetwalker i am not disappointed by its output. Donot compare it with a fast prime though.
There is a guy on flickr he is been travelling Tibet for some years and his main lens is the 28-300.

(Nice pictures of Tibet  :) ) I often use the 24-120mm with the 70-300 for my school's shot, but was wondering if a 20mm f/2.8 AFD and this 28-300 wouldn't do the job, though my school isn't very well lit (f/5.6 at 100mm as I see) ? Or revert to primes ? I fear of becoming a bit lazy... :o
