Thank you John, the apples are locally grown 'Elstar's the ones from the supermarket are inedible.

Lovely Fall light John, it is my favorite time of the year for pictures.

Those apples look really good Fons  :) 

The 35 f/1.4 AI  and AIS are wonderful lenses.  My last AIS suffered an accidental fall and never quite recovered, despite the efforts of the repairman.

That's right, I buy my Elstar's also directly from the farm.

Indeed mine is the 7 blades ai version so the 9 blades ais must have smoother bokeh, i also have the afs version. Secondhand they still hold value if you find a good copy.
