A different view Images added, 24 Oct and 25 Oct (final)

Mayumi and I spent a few sunny/stormy days in a region called Rothiemurchus, which also gets called the Eastern Highlands. It's a very different part of Scotland - rolling hills and farmland and dense forests. In the autumn colours it all looked very fine.

The first and last were shot en route; all the others were in the Rothiemurchus heartlands, east of the Spey Valley.

You have a very fine and keen eye for landscapes I must say. Now also including my favourite subject, the power lines :D

To me, #1, #4 and #5 suggest that you entered into a new creative territory.  The almost featureless mountains and woods work marvelously as abstracting elements.  Very inspiring!

+1, I must say that even the power lines are well captured, nice graphically.

Birna - I value your judgements very highly- thank you
Frank - thank you also. I think we will always be friends; maybe we will make a Scottish safari some time?
Jakov - I know I have done my job when you comment so positively - thank you
Akira - Our safaris perhaps will always be in Tokyo - that's another "different view" that I love - thank you for your comment - thoughtful as always.

Needless to say, #3 is a nice continuation of what I like about this series.   :)

You are right - all the requirements for good landscape work are plentiful here in Scotland - the landscape itself and very often, good light. I know how lucky I am. Thanks, Frank.
