We've had some rain . . . . Images added, 17/10/2018

. . . and then some more, and then lots more, and today it's still raining.

!) and 2) - the River Dochart, and 3) the flood-plain of Loch Tay and our local river system; normally pretty dry.

The weather was bad, but the pictures are very fine, as usual.
Your pictures of Scotland makes one want to travel and visit it. :)

Nice 'douche' we like some here as well temps up to the mid twenties rain expected to fall this Sunday, good golly.

I remember standing and shooting on the rocks in §2 at the Killin meet-up a coupe of years ago.

I would not want to try to stand there while you took the photo!

David, Mongo loves the captured animation and natural colour of the waters in #1 and 2.

#3 - love the crisp, defining but natural light/colour in the image

These images make me think of NZ's South Island's west coast scenery = homesick.  :)

very nice coverage, calm with great graphics, your style. Love the light and colors. We could use some rain here. The Rhine ferry does not go because the water level is too low for what? two months?

Now that's a flood. The mood is nicely captured - I can almost hear the roar of the river.

The drama of #1 and #2 is quite a contrast with the serenity of #3.

Wonderful dynamic images of the wild river, and stark contrast to the wetland, get documentary landscape work ;)

Thanks to everyone for your generous comments.

It is still raining heavily and the forecast is for even more rain. It is too heavy at the moment to be out-of-doors with a camera, but I may try later - it's becoming wilder more dramatic.

Erik, Mikes, Frank, Jakov, Anthony and me - we were all participants in the Scotland Week (May 2016) and make up 1/3 of the number who took part. I wouldn't mind organising another such week if there was any enthusiasm for it, and Hugh, Bent, Fons, Mongo and Keith - you'd get a second chance at Paradise Scotland.    8)  ;D

I'd love to be back. Preferably without rain, but perhaps that's asking too much ....

Scotland is a lovely country and we enjoyed the 2016 visit to the Hebrides and mainland Scotland immensely.
