Yesterday we visited Lulekane to learn about African culture and customs.
On our way back we had one of the waiters with us in bus, she had a vey nice dress, so I asked for fashion photo at the lodge

It is the dry season, as you can see on the pictures. But just in front of our porch we have this green an yellow tree.
I am sure some of you will know which spicie it is.

This what we got to see of the hippocampus during daylight.
There was one grassing in front of the lodge at dinner time, could see it with the help of a floodlight.

The flowering tree is from the Mimosa subfamily of the Fabaceae (Pea Family). Possibly an Acacia, of which there are hundreds of species.

The hippo free-riders seem to enjoy themselves ...

We had not any giraffes at the breakfast table, but small monkeys to steal the bread at lunch.
Here one of the small offenders taken with the loot in hand.
Taken with my 300mm +extender on the D500, those 3 have nearly been glued together during this trip, much easier to handle than my 200-500mm.

Yesterday we went on a trip to the Drakensberg to see Burke’s luck potholes among other things.
Wanted to show Gunver the potholes as I was there in 1982. Been more tourist minded nowadays.
