South Africa safari at Nyati

We, Gunver and I just arrived at Nyati game reserve near Kruger Park.
The first animal to greet us was a group off elefants, we are looking forward to the weeks stay here.

Thanks for the good wishes.
Today on our way back in darkness our driver went around to find a leopard with an impala, and he did :)
The high ISO of the D500 came handy in this occasion, and together with Erik’s old 300 f4PF, and some flash lights, I got some pictures. Did try with my D800, but not with good results.
The picture has only been loaded into LR on my iPad. Working with the WD wireless HD, no laptop ;)

During the day we had a more peaceful encounter with this Water buck grassing at the river by our lodge.
D500 300 mm PF with 1.4 extender the II version @f5.6

Also today the exiting part was well after sundown. So when we found the lions there was only torchlight to lit them.
D500 ISO 32000, slight adjustment in LR. The 300mm with 1.4 extension.
Colours are a bit like infrared :o
Changed the picture added clarity as suggested by Erik.

Very nice Lion, I guess the light from the torch is giving the colorless look, just adds tension, nie ;)
Truly a fantastic Zebra crossing   8)   ;D


Both I would add clarity to bring out the details.
