Raddish, Mustard, Lupines, Phacelia and a super high diversity insect friendly flower and grass mix.
The concept is to use these plants to enhance soil content and structure. Esp the raddish, daikon winter seed, promises to increase soil organic matter and deepen the aerobic layer.
I try to follow the ideas of P.A. Yeoman's book "Water for every farm" and Marc Shepard's "Restoration Agriculture"
I try to attract biology: insects, esp beetles, plus worms and microorganisms with a high diversity of plants and carbon sequestration from the air into strong and deep raddish roots not for a harvest but for letting them rot to feed soil organisms.
I am insecure when it comes to the amount of seeds I used and the amount of woody parts in the mulch. Are these sticks OK or are they to coarse?
