At present I have several Nocts, but they certainly cannot be classified as 'pristine'.

Twill be ending up as a collector's item (ridiculous) or in the bag of a photographer with an overloaded wallet + no bearing on the real world of a lens' value.
...otherwise the seller has to get her/his feet back on the ground

With upcoming release of f/0.95 neonoct, I wonder if this might be the best time to sell. Other than collector value it would seem to be losing some of its specialness.

I'm afraid the 58/0.95 will come with AF, VR, god knows what, wheighing 1 kg or so... another Otus 55, so to say... having a compact, reasonably heavy lens is important too.

The old Noct, in my experience, provides just the right amount of inertia and stability.

AF yes, VR won't be built into the lens, not needed for this fast aperture, plus the camera will have IBIS...

I see this more as a very (un)humble brag. Good for the owner, it's his lens and he is free to do whatever he likes with it.
