Montenegro 2018
« on: June 29, 2018, 17:41:51 »
Here I am again visiting my dearest Tanja Sćepanović <3

Spent the first day at her house in Podgorica, had a great day with her mother Slavka, enjoying the flowers in her garden with a 135DC and an extension ring.

These are very beautiful and "painterly" — like gorgeous watercolours on a handmade paper.

Beautiful color combinations and choices.  The contrasting blue color patch in the first one is particularly good.  Also, cactus innovation going on here.

These are wonderful!

I especially like the abstract cactus (#4).

The closeup of the succulent is stunning!  You found another nice way to use 135DC!

The first one and the cactus! Very nice application of the 135 DC, Jakov.

Thank you, Ann! Whenever I hear that my photos are like paintings it puts a smile on my face :)

Thank you, Keith! I was surprised by the blue colors that came out. There was a strong sunlight in the background and since the flowers were in the shade, the greens had a blue hue in them.

Thank you, Hans! Yes, the cactus was manipulated until I got it just like that. I thought of rotating it horizontally and even cropping out the bottom part. I was undecided, liked all versions.

Thank you, Akira! I had to google succulent, I suppose you mean the cactus :) 135DC is very versatile, love it!

Thank you, Thomas! First ones are usually the best ones :)

Thank you, Fons! Lovely and Sensitive!!!

Last night, chilling on the balcony, waiting for the sun to set, 135DC did nicely capturing swallows among others :)

Jakov, this series with  the "painted flowers" is extraordinary
did you use the DC with the extension or just let it on 0?

Thomas, thank you! I used the 135DC for the painted flowers with a PN-1 extension ring that Erik modified and chipped for my 100/1.6 Heligon. The exposure wasn't off at all. The only disadvantage is that I have to use it wide open all the time. I did maneuver the DC ring to my favorite far spot "F" for front focus to obtain a dreamy effect. Glad you like them :)

Jakov, yes, cactus!  Quite often I'm at a loss to figure out how my memory system works.   :o :o :o

Wow! Jakov, what a beautiful set of flowers, like said above vary painterly

I do not think you have much of a problem being forced to use it wide open :)

Thomas, you are welcome! I am having fun in Montenegro, as always, thanks :)

Thank you, Frank!

Mr Cloud, your memory system works perfectly well, please do not change a thing :)

Thanks, Armando! I did want to close down the lens a bit on occasion but as you said, no problem using it wide open :)

Again, all photos made with 135DC on Tanja's balcony.
