  Back to f4.0 here, at 70mm, crop. I believe, I have more control now over DOF on the long end, without any sacrificing of image quality. In practical usage, will try it wide open. Will see. Truth to be said: To open all of this lens potential, I gave up and used Tamron Tap-in Console. So, all of its, possible today, 12 FT parameters, for this particular lens, went from -3 to +1, covering all of its focuses and zooms positions, instead of only one unmovable setting. I would like to show clearly technical image, with crop, at most critical 24mm f4.0. There is very significant loss of detailing and acuity, while transferring from Flickr. Anyway, you will get the idea. BTW, there is no software conflict between Console and D810 camera.   Any constructive comments will be appreciated! At 24mm, F4.8. Two crops. In my experience, F6.7, maybe 8.0, is workable, but F9.0 and up, due to raised diffraction, is impractical. For some, unknown for me reason, there isn't much attention to this lens, or my opinion on the one, but, anyway, I said what I think will be usable. Thank you,  LZ.
