Thank you, Frank! You see, I've posted this (about 6 months ago) image as a clearly technical one, to demonstrate sheer resolving power of this lens, from corner-to-corner, as well as absence of flare, glare, any CA (to its minimum), or any significant distortions, as well to its minimum. And all of these things, coming immediately from wide open! That's why I am really surprised, there's not even one comment on the lens itself! The image with 2 crops above posted today, to demonstrate beautiful contrast/color ratio, as well as its amazing rendering! THX! LZ

Forum's can be quite enigmatic in their reaction towards postings.

Concerning the lens: If I read "zoom" I am out. I do not use zooms, never did. I am to dumb for them. They cause an untangable knot in my brain. I took roughly one million shots in 35 years and the only place where I found a zoom useful was in sports, where the artists move and I am not allowed to change position by security. I do not do sports (only did once in a workshop) so I use what I understand and can handle: two bodies and two primes or, depending on circumstances: one body and one lens.

So: If you would check out the 1.4/105 Sigma art vs. the Nikkor 1.4/105E I would be very interested, but a "Tamron" 24-70 "zoom" ... not my field.

I just came here to check your photography because I hold your photographic skills in great esteem.

An I found this mountainbike in the stairhouse...

This image at f5.6, to get DOF. 2 crops. You may see the very first traces of diffraction already at f 8.0, so, I do avoid it, if possible, but even f 9.5 is fully usable. LZ
