This is a  theme showcasing food, any kind of food is allowed, whether you cooked it or not. The emphasis is on showcasing the cuisine of your native country, but if you find an interesting dish in your travels, post away. You should include a description of what is posted and, if you have one, a recipe would be appreciated so that the viewers can try it out themselves.

Here is an image to start it off, a plate of Mexican food I got at Ramona's Cafe in Lordsburg, New Mexico, enchiladas with green (tomatillo) sauce, shredded beef tacos , a chili relleno and a tamale, rice and refried beans, outstanding!

The San Francisco Bay Area is famous for its sourdough bread. Here is a loaf I made with the local wild yeasts.
Ingredients 1kg flour, 650ml water, 20mg salt, local yeasts and bacteria.

The "Three Meat" plate at Lum's Barbeque, just outside Junction, Texas. I had smoked brisket, spareribs and sausage complimented by pinto beans and potato salad. It was excellent, but my apricot jalapeno glazed ribs are better than Lum's ribs.

Pastrami sandwich as served by The Hub  restaurant in Brea, California. Truly an excellent sandwich! I had mine with onion rings, which were excellent also.

I find Texas-style BBQ Ribs are a bit dry for my tastes. Like more sauce!
