The main reason for my being off the loop the last months is manifested here. A corner of the living room of my new apartment, with endless forests and snow-capped trees as a backdrop. Oh well. No idea where the photogear is buried in the stacks of packing crates. I opened a small box at random and found a D500 and a Canon 35/2.8 TS in F-mount, used these to snap a picture of my current "living situation".
Left my box From my office window. I then left the house to go around and shoot from the front but not as interesting , just white and yellow with no afternoon sun coming through the petals . a7rii 70-200 handheld from small step ladder. tomorrow I will post one with the Batis 135 f2.8
Damage done. Local politicalities cut down the trees in mainstreet, make a flat village even flatter. At least some 20 Quercus palustris were the chainsaws' victim.D3 - 35mm f/1.4gFebruary 21
Sadly there are now hydraulically operated machines available that can dig out whole trees out and transport them to new sites for transplanting.Link: https://www.youtube.com/embed/1IV10M1RbEA?rel=0 This was filmed near Melbourne in Australia. The equipment is used by the local roading authority that my daughter works for - she is a projects engineer and director and this equipment has saved many trees from being destroyed.Enjoy.
