Hi Everyone- thanks for the feedback and comments. It's interesting that my article was picked up by NG as I have not yet posted it thru social media. I was waiting until Monday to that. I wrote the article because I wanted to put some info out there about the D850 lens as compared to the recent NIKON D850 lens recommendation list. To be sure, once this camera gets into the hands of thousands there will be others who will provide the additional detail and lens nuances that we require. I am not that guy writing those kinds of articles. A great source of detail info for the D850 is LLyod Chambers website...In a nutshell, I thought all the glass I used, on the Nikon list or not, made great images at 45.7Mp!
I thought I'd clarify my comments on my article about the 70-200E. My comments were about the new ergonomics of the 70-200/E and not the lens performance. Thanks for your comments I just clarified and corrected my article to add more detail.
I tend to make images using the camera setting at Nikon Picture control Vivid or Landscape and not Flat or Neutral. I also run my images thru Nikon NX2 and not ACR before PS. This may amp the color saturation, however, I am always starting with a NIKON Raw file the way its set by Nikon.. My final post-processing workflow is continually evolving and adjusting and I appreciate some of the comments. This is the first published image I have made with the D850 and it is 100% in camera. The image as is received a twitter social like from Diane Varner ! (DianeVarner.com).
Finally, I just published a companion article on the actual image called Little Sunapee, (
http://fritzimag.es/lttlsunapee) where I post-processed the image with Luminar, TK V5 Luminosity masks and a few sharpening actions. Have a great day everyone !
