Recently I did a bike tour in the Netherlands, more specifically the Biker's Path which follows the Pieterpad, a famous walking path from the Northern part of the country to the Southern part of the country. I passed through a lot of woods during the day when light was dull. So I experimented with unsharpness and movement. Herewith some results. What do you think?

PS: my apologies for the broken links with other photos. I messed things up (again).

The dark trunks make for a dramatic contrast. Would be interesting if you could straighten everything to vertical in post production. Seems like using a large amount of lens correction (the opposite of de-fishing) would bring it all into alignment.

I can try but I guess it's quite a challenge. Perhaps I should practice pulling the camera up in a straighter line first?

I find these shots pleasing to look at.  Might be that where I live, there are no dense green forests within easy distance.  The green colors here are particularly nice.

The first one stands out for me, I like the simplicity and the bright light,,,

The lens you used was wide, a longer focal length lens has less inward bowing distortion when panning,,,

Another vote for #1!

I like the pincushion distortion effect.

Thank you for your encouraging words! It is really fun to do. Here is one other:

It becomes more impressionistic in other situations such as these:

This was another experiment with over-exposure:
