It has a truly cinematic look.
I am actually most interested in this aspect:
"Adoption of three aspherical lens elements effectively suppresses sagittal coma flare for excellent point image reproduction, while the adoption of two ED glass elements provides effective compensation for axial chromatic aberration, and Nikon's exclusive Nano Crystal Coat effectively reduces ghost and flare."
COMA CONTROL YAYIs it time for me to sell that Samyang 24/1.4? If Nikon delivers what it promises, this lens will become an astrolandscape photographer's dream! Sure, there's the Sigma 20/1.4 (bad coma), 14/1.8 (from test photos, also not too good in terms of coma), and the Samyang 14/2.4 (really good coma correction), I'd be happier with future-proof Nikon glass. I'm sounding a like a paid Nikon shill now haha. I'm so excited.
Hope this one doesn't flop. Hope it uses a ring SWM (doubt it though) as well.
My current list of best coma corrected wide angle lenses (from the best):
#1 Samyang 14 f/2.4
#2 Tamron 15-30 f/2.8
#3 Nikon 14-24 f/2.8 Samyang 14 f/2.8
#4 Nikon 20 f/1.8
#5 Samyang 24 f/1.4
