The lone tree shot is very nice!,
I would recommend a crop to the bottom to have less grass, I would suggest to have same amount and grass above and below the tree at the root.

I'll have to give the crop suggestion a go in my editing software, i usually crop by feel and this felt good to me.

It's been a minute, but since the last series of photos i've switched to mainly shooting film (the analog stuff). So, while i do go back regularly, i don't shoot as many photos anymore here.

Here is one from quite recent (beginning of February) during a hoar frosty and foggy sunrise. This is my favourite and most photographed tree in this little nature area.

4x5 Kodak Portra 160, 210mm @ F/32.

Don't blame the photographer  . I just showed up to this beautiful scene covered in hoar frost with the haze/fog in the air and did the large format dance, went home and developed and scanned the negative. The star here is mother nature and kodak portra 160

The reason i used the 210mm lens (roughly 65-ish mm on FF) is that otherwise i had to walk through the frosted grass. I didn't want to do that and stayed on the walking path.

From a recent outing at sunrise, Kodak Ektar100, 4x5, 300mm, f/22, some lingering fog in the distance

Wow! Look at that, almost a year gone since the last image in this thread (a not so great one i must admit).

Reviving this thread with some panos, how else  , all on 6x17. All home developed & scanned. I hope you like them 

1. Nice little bit of sunlight. Fomapan200 (don't love it), 150mm, F/8
2. Foggy morning, path "through the tree". Fuji Provia 100F, 210mm, F/32
3. Same tree (the "bump" you see in #2) from the side. Fuji Provia 100F, 75mm, F/32
4. Remnant of the bush fire (see post #2 in this thread). Fuji Provia 100F, 90mm, F/32 (now replaced with a version without colour cast)

I see now that #4 has a terrible colour cast. It didn't show like that in my editing software, i'll get it replaced (already working on it).
