Calendar says spring and less than one week to our Constitution Day, the pinnacle of the year for many Norwegians. But weather doesn't bother about  us mere mortals. So fetching my morning paper was a chilly affair.

Frozen blossom with icy crust? Never seen something like this before!

Yesterday a horrible studio session. Out of gamut outfit in front of my super classical backgrund inspired by Lucas Cranach. White balance and Exposure were fully confused, even on the D500. Lens change meant only more confusion. The child was pure movement. Hours of editing behind me and a lot of hours to go. Looking forward to my new studio with more space and a permanent installation instead of temporary improvisation.

Very interesting: White balace was much more stable on the D600 with the 105E that with any other combination!

So today I met father and child in "normal" clothing on the street. Much better. A refreshing experience!

Thanks Akira and Frank

A bit warmer, although it's raining now here...

The birthday of 'Breadfather' Gerrit Poels. A lot of events at his 88th birthday. The re-opening of a social restaurant, at the same spot he started 50 years ago. (Pollepel)

Also lots of music and extra funds from a group of cyclists. After a race of more than 250 kilometres they collected an amount of 4.500 euro through a lot of sponsors.  The 'cheque' is handed here. His wife Angelique to the right.

Nice shot, Frank.

Yes, I agree. The white Balance of the D600 is very consistent.

Very icy, Bjørn. Beautiful ice details.  That is a Forsythia, not?

Today I found that the 14E converter stripped of glass by Erik is most useful on the 300PF. I also tried the 105E and the Neo-Noct, but these are not as useful and/or flexible shooting near fields. Neo-Noct is also very nice but not as flexible.

Vanitas was the trial (find a series in my portfolio, follow link in signature):

Yes, Forsythia. I have a very large example on my entrance.
