Hi guys, thank you very much everyone for the welcome.
Now I have little free time to be in the forum. I am testing with two fish-eye lenses (NIKKOR 7.5 / 5.6 and NIKKOR 8/8) for use with my Df.

No, it's not impossible but it's a bit dangerous. I'll tell you how it's done and upload some photos of the experiment.

The method is well known ... I've used that for many years now with all DSLRs. Even the lower end models can do that, for example, I often use the 7.5/5.6 Fisheye on my D3200 for UV. The best quality of the non-retrofocus fisheyes is the 10/5.6 OP, by the way.

Provided you do the required steps in the procedure by the letter it is neither dangerous nor harmful to the camera.

PS: when you post these pictures, do make a dedicated thread for in in an appropriate board. Either 'Lens Talk' or 'What the Nerds Do' might be suitable.  DS.

Thanks for the info, Bjørn.
I always thought it was not possible in DX format cameras. The mirror box is very small.
Tomorrow I'm going to try on my D3100 using the same method as with Df.

Some of the DX cameras indeed have a close fit. But cannot remember anyone not allowing the mounting of these fisheyes. The caveat being I haven't tried all possible combinations.

If D40X and D3200 can host the 7.5 Fisheye so ought the D3100 too.
