TV Heligon 42mm f/0.75
« on: April 12, 2017, 17:27:59 »
I am getting to like this lens more and more.
Thanks to Brent for selling it to me and thanks to Erik for modifying it for me!
Depth of field is practically nonexistent when mounted on an FX camera, but that doesn't mean that images cannot be obtained :)

You are all too kind, thank you so much, Woodley, Lars, Andrew, Bruno, and Akira :)

You don't think about sharpness, you don't think about auto-focus, you don't think about zooming, basically there is very little that you think about apart from composition. It is so liberating to think only about shapes and lines...

I can  easily imagine this hanging on the walls of a upscale hotel

wonderful images

Seems to be the antithesis to what Michael Erlewine does, throw away sharpness, keep the fabulous colors and composition

Thank you Armando for your kind words. I would love to see a photo of mine hanging large in a fancy hotel :)

Akira, as I said, it's liberating in its limitations. You do it too. I remember very well what you did with that funny 50mm of yours :)

Paco, there is nothing I would more like than to catch up with you in Seville! Thanks!

Thomas, thanks, Happy Easter!

beaut images ! Particularly like the last one for the way its relative structure melts and merges into the ether.

That funny 50mm is in the hands of our source of inspiration.  I still keep the CRT, though.  :)
