As I understand it, the contents of the Egyptian graneries were being pillaged and spoilt by rats and mice and people starved or contracted diseases from the rodents as a consequence.  Cats were introduced to combat the problem and as a result of their success the Egyptians ended up worshipping the felines and giving them god like status.  Well, that is what I was told at school.

I too like John's image of the young queen.  My word kittens have sharp teeth - so accurately portrayed.

Nice pose and image of  your cat.

Do keep an eye on the top left canine tooth - its tip has been broken off and in such cases the tooth's nerve can die and and become abscessed.  Whilst they can do root canal treatments on cats nowadays it isn't cheap, so maybe the installation of a protective cap over whats left of the tooth could be well worth discussing with your veterinarian?
