One of the largest sports festivals in the world, with 70 different sports, 20,000 athletes and over 200,000 spectators.  http://www.arnoldsportsfestival.com/

Represented here are Pole Championships, Bodybuilding, Strongman, Fencing, Dance, Fitness, and artistic endeavors.  I have more images at the link below, if anyone is interested.  I know this is not everyone's cup of tea.

Thanks for the show, as you say, it's not everyones cup of tea. Bodybuilding is not mine, whether male or female, it's just too much. Took me a few seconds to spot the pole in the last shot

Yeah, the press pit had an assigned seating matrix for this event so  I was stuck in the same spot.  Maybe I'll get a different spot next year.

great all round coverage of the event to give a real feel of what it may have been like to be there.

Mongo assumes that in the last image, the performer was in the process of performing a full turn summersault. If so, with the prevailing lighting as it was, your timing, exposure and focus was simply amazing !

This was from the Pole Fitness Championships.
The press pit had assigned seats, so my angle from my vantage point was in line with the metal structure that held the poles in position.  She is actually holding herself aloft  with just the pressure of her leg/hip on the pole about 10 ft in the air.
