Yesterday I took a very nice shot of a very old building in Cologne

Red Rose for Ruth.

(Nikon 1V1, 10-100, 1/8 sec hand held. There is some VR-like operation going on inside the lens apparently)

Amazing lighting, Frank !

We call this lighting ''lumière frisante'' in French, but I don't know the English translation . My native English girlfriend couldn't help me...

End of hazelnut flowers now (and catkins)

Fons: I love your earring shot in #52!

Francis: the light was great. I have a series of interesting buildings. Plus it is a whacky edit underlining what I saw

Very nice, Francis. I tried hazelnut flowers a few times with no results. They look very interesting.

A sleepy pig in you pig-ture, John, otherwise the water reflection would never have been so nice!

Thank you, Frank (a bit late)!

I wasn't sure what the translation to English would be, because I wasn't sure which attribute of the light you were referring to.  It turns out that the translation is "oblique light" which is certainly the case on the front of the building.  In any case the lighting creates a very nice effect that complements the clouds in the sky.

Thomas, those crocuses are amazing!

Thank you Frank. Not really sleepy, just very very lucky.  She stood still in the right position for a few moments ;)
