Marsa Alam, Red Sea, Egypt
« on: February 25, 2017, 20:15:01 »
Unfortunately, today is the final day of our one week winter break in the sun.
Bundles of photos are yet to be processed but here is one that depicts the beach.

Good to know not everyone deserted Egypt - they need tourists :D

Snowing over here in my neck of the woods, thus I'm a little envious.

Thumbs up on this one. Less people though than I remember from Iceland? Not a place for the locals?

I fed my favorite camel with an apple today :)
The apple lasted a few seconds :D

Yes, Egypt seems a bit spooky at the moment. The place where we are staying is pretty empty. It is off season in their minds, although the temperatures are well above 20ºC during the day, and the Red Sea is at 23ºC. I guess it's off season only because of the rather awkward northern wind, and the fact that it's February.

The kids are glued to the heated swimming pool all day long... and there is an aqua park with slides and the likes, etc.

I treated myself to a quartet of King Tut massages a nice book to read, and of course the usual, photography.

Here is another image taken by the snorkeling instructor and the fabulous AW1. (He didn't believe me that it was an underwater camera when he saw it, and he also claims that it's far superior to Go Pro).

Lovely shots, Jakov !   Here it's still pretty cold, felt like freezing today.

I took the liberty to edit your last picture.  I'm always very prudent by applying the dehazing feature in Lr, but with this one, it's right on purpose  8)  BTW. pleasant pictures and enjoy your vacation.

Cool series, Jakov!  Glad you enjoy your holidays.  I like the image of you freeing your body and your ass following.   ;D

If I remember correctly, there was a profile dedicated for the underwater images in NX-D?

I experienced a delayed sense of scale with your first photo...this made me like it a lot!
Wonder what this does?
