Yup, worked in the past a lot with the FZ's as back-up camera before M4/3 arrived.  GH1 is cheap (if you'r lucky), still one of the best M4/3 sensors around with 100 base ISO and more portable than later models (which have 200 ISO and are larger and heavier), acceptable and good viewfinder with zoom options, and ability to mount a lot a lenses, cause the shorter flange distance compared to Nikon F. It has of course drawbacks compared to full frame, but that are the challenges

Nice combo!  On a m4/3 camera, the 45P behaves like Leiz 90/4.0 Elmar on a full frame sensor.

Thanks!   Well it's a relative small combination with the adapter.   I got the 25/1.7 as well, the seller had a bargain because of a stuck filter (which was relatively easy to remove).  Need to have the RAWs to my liking, colours are too saturated with too much reds to my taste, and exposure is also different compared to the Nikon's.

I agree on the unlogical menu (it helps I used the FZ's extensively) A (good) viewfinder is essential for every day use for my needs, luckily the GH1 has a good one. It's combination with LCD display and viewfinder works very effective too.      I think an adapter is very welcome    I am thinking of a speedbooster but they are way too expensive and hardly to be seen second hand.

Currently I don't have any m4/3 camera, but I have used Panasonic G1, GH2, GF5 and GX8 as well as Olympus E-M5 MkII.  I have the impression that the light meters of Panasonic cameras have been excellent.  Their dynamic range is much narrower than any APS-C or full frame cameras, but the meter makes full use of the narrow DR very well.

I miss the true multi-format sensor of GH1 and GH2 with which all 4:3, 3:2 and 16:9 formats can retain the same diagonal AOV.  I could switch from 4:3 to 16:9 to go a bit wider horizontally without changing the lens, which was very handy.  This system should also be advantageous for a video-still hybrid cameras.

So, I still keep my Nikon F to m4/3 mount adapter.
