It is very difficult to keep the lines inside the frame working together. You managed to. I will save tge file as educational for later reference. Parallells and crossing lines and lines that will cross some day outside the frame. Very very clever.

Thanks again.  I tried subtly different orientations and the ones I discarded looked very chaotic.  The posted one has the two horizontal lines (the raised railway with the train and the bar with the traffic signs) at the top of the frame which seem to stabilize the geometry.

John, thanks.  I used to use the 45P on F100 and already liked it.  It doesn't interfere with my upper arm when I hang my D750/45P combo from the shoulder.  It is difficult to focus, but thankfully the "green dot" on D750 is very reliable.  It is a perfect walk around lens in the true sense of the word!

The 55/3.5 with the compensated aperture is one of the greatest Micro Nikkors.  Your shot reassures that.  I love the color, too.

Thanks Frank and Akira.  Tested a few lenses (despite the rainy conditions), the 1963  55mm Micro had the right DOF (giving the light conditions),  best colours and rendering. It made the scene shine.

45P is ideal for walking around yes   It has the same critical focus behaviour as the Voightlanders 58/1.4 and 90/3.5   The green dot helps a lot and reframing works also great. Focussing with the Df is easier thanks to the better focus-screen.

I only took the D500 and the 85mm
I thought there would be like four to six players, but this year it outgrew the previous years and 22 hit the center of our little "village" and more than 100 people listening, eating & drinking!

This is a voluntary band, completely non profit but involving a lot of really good musicians from several music colleges.

They do it for the fun!

that d5300 is a teeny camera with awkward ergonomics will need to get used to

Great camera, special sensor, beautiful colours, very good white balance and very high dynamic range especially in the highlights.  Swapped it for the Nex 5 R - best swap ever

Battery usage is better than the D700, very fast CF card (60 MB/s) compensates for the slowness.  Playback is useless, it's like back to the film-days.   Demands very good lenses and good technique at ISO 100.
