Some of the photos with very high reserve prices didnt sell at all, so one needs to take into account that although I did well - some with serious "names" were just out of reach of the buyers' budgets perhaps.

Or, that your image commanded greater interest than some of those from the "serious" names. Your name may be more "seriously" taken than you think.

I think everyone lives in the hopes that someone recognises your name and work, so yes it would be great if this can happen more often   But it's a catch 22 situation. We would prefer our work to sell because it is like - not because we are well known.
